Macquarie University Health (MUH) is seeking Junior/Resident Medical Officers to join our Doctors in Training Program to provide clinical services and participate in the teaching and research environment of MUH. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

Key Accountabilities include (Not limited to):
Clinical
As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll play an essential role in delivering patient-centred care at Macquarie University Hospital and Clinics. You'll gain hands-on experience conducting assessments, formulating management plans, ordering investigations, and coordinating care—all under expert supervision. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and refine your clinical decision-making skills.
Administrative
You’ll actively participate in key clinical meetings, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure clear communication around leave and incident reporting. This role supports your growth while emphasizing accountability and teamwork.
Quality and Research Activities
Join a team that values continuous improvement and excellence in patient care. You'll take part in clinical quality activities, including audits, peer reviews, and risk management initiatives, while contributing to hospital accreditation and safety standards.
Supervision, Training and Education
Take an active role in shaping the future of healthcare at Macquarie University Health through education and mentorship. You’ll participate in multidisciplinary training, attend and present at grand rounds, and provide advice and mentorship to individual students. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Macquarie University Health while growing as both a clinician and educator.
Professional development, continuing education and maintenance of standards
Work closely with experienced clinical supervisors to build your skills and accelerate your professional growth. You’ll develop a tailored training and development plan while gaining the experience needed to meet AHPRA requirements for general medical registration.
